Immature Kid

A couple years back, an old man said that I was mature beyond my age
But if you ask a random teen girl, she would call me an idiot with an exhausted face
Doesn’t matter if I tried to stay fit, run a mile everyday, and beat everyone in a sprint race
Now I look like a guy whose hair are about to turn grey
Well, that’s what they say.
So guess, I’m an immature kid
Who doesn’t have control over his impulse
Someone who’ll shoot himself in the foot and eventually self destruct
That’s wrong on so many levels
You don’t know me that well if you think I am going to put myself in trouble
Got enough intelligence to leave before a situation gets too bad
Like a family gets abandoned by a deadbeat dad

An immature kid who talks maturely
Not even difficult to find, it is a rarity
Calling a saint a sinner is blasphemy
If I act rude to someone, that’s on me
I’ll accept my mistake and issue an apology
In this land, everyone does shady deeds
Some give a helping hand to someone who’s in need
I’ll give my both hands to grab you up when you’re down
But if you turn against me, I’ll throw you in water and won’t let you out till you drown

So, still one would think I’m an immature kid
Despite me being twenty one and having many more years to live
Just think about the capacity I have at the moment
After ten years, I probably will be even more solemn
And what if I find solace in being soul less?
Least, it makes me more self aware
Drives me through each day without giving a care
Helps in covering my emotions with thick layers
That’s why I don’t feel the need to have everyday prayers
Have had some rough moments, had my fair share
So if you still think it’s a lack of maturity
Then I can’t keep giving you security
I’ll let you dig deeper in your own insecurity

Amazing Afterlife

Don’t feel sorry for me, I want no pity
It’s the rage inside me that is building
Worry about that, I am colder than ice
Hotter than fire when I want to be
I would punch a punching bag to release
All the anger that is controlling me

Direct my energy into productive activity
To not go insane, to keep my sanity
There’s no joke, no negativity
I speak from experience, it’s my reality

All the pressure that is a weight on my shoulders
I am growing colder, as I grow older
My heart is a rock and not an organ
People used to call me noble, now they call me arrogant

But it’s just the way I have lived
I used to be a sincere man you would’ve ever met
Sometimes things don’t turn out the way we want them to
Some ideas just strike us out of the blue
Life has a way to make things happen when you have no clue

Not telling my story doesn’t mean I don’t have one
Just because I am bitter doesn’t mean I don’t want to have fun
It’s the way my mind is designed
Even in the hard times, I put a smile
Obstacles in life could be a blessing in disguise
I become the villain in your eyes
Days pass by after each night
I sit, think and wish for an amazing afterlife

Edge of the Bridge

I move along with time in despair
Wish I can be content, that’s my only prayer
An update is needed in my software
You tell me not to act like a robot,
But what if it’s just my only goal?
I don’t need counseling or someone who wants to console
‘Cause I stopped caring years ago
I don’t care, I have sold my soul
Or maybe someone came and stole
The heart that I once had made of gold,
It’s not in my possession
Life happened and it taught me a lesson

Never let your emotions come out
To the world ’cause it doesn’t care
You got to face the obstacles
Life isn’t fair
I look like a human from the outside just like you
But you don’t really know me, you haven’t walked in my shoes
I was the only one who pulled myself through
Now I look back at my life and try to review
There were so many opportunities that I blew
Not that I did not knew
But I was naive enough not to know their value

So now I stand at the edge of the bridge
Pondering the thought of jumping and be finished
Or maybe give it a chance and give my life a meaning
Find the joy in something and start living
The idea is a scary phenomenon
It’s a long journey though, soon I’ll be twenty one
I try to put a smile on your face
But I fail to write sentences that are articulate

I use a language that is straight
No beating around the bush, that’s insane
Get to the point and say what you want to say
A night is a night and a day is a day
No matter how I say it, it’ll remain the same
I just want to convey
I only know how to express only in this particular way
Plenty of events wait ahead
It’ll be no fun without a friend
Till then I’ll be killing my time
Find different ways to express myself and make them rhyme

In a bubble

I live in my own bubble
Avoid all troubles
I just want to lay back, have no struggles
No rush, no hustle
In my own world, I make the rules
Grow a fruit and eat it too
Don’t want any orders
Maybe I have antisocial disorder

Have this hatred for authority
They take advantage of seniority
I thought I would change once I turned twenty
It keeps getting stronger, to hate them is my duty
I try to think differently
But it’s the way I am, it’s just me
Next morning I will wake up and decide to change
It’s plain old routine, it’s the fault of my brain

It’s a pattern I am stuck into
Thoughts just strike me out of the blue
I am unable to express them coherently
It’s a testimony of my limited ability
Realizing it is a sign of maturity
I tell myself this, to make myself feel happy

I live in my own bubble
Not asking for any trouble
My fate is a jigsaw puzzle
That I cannot seem to solve
I try to find myself but keep getting lost
Writing worthless lines to keep me entertained
‘Cause I know with it, there’s nothing to gain

7 Months and no word…

So here I am once again. I have to make it clear from the beginning that I have no clear topic or a subject on which I am going to write anything in this post. I have logged back in my account after 7 months and I have no idea how time flew by. Hence, I decided to write something, anything today. Everything I say will be candid, unedited and purely from my heart and emotions.

It has been 7 months and no word at all from me. In the last few months I simply lost track and in a way, I would say I have lost a lot of hobbies and the things that I used to find fun no longer seems to excite me. Writing is clearly one of them. It would be safe to say that I have had nothing informative to share. That explains why I have been “invisible”.

However, I got to say this activity seems enjoyable. It is a change for sure. I can write whatever the hell I want because I am writing for the sake of writing. Technically, I am typing. But there should be something to speak about. We’re just going round and round in circles here and there is no conclusion to it.

It’s 6:22 am at the moment and I haven’t slept all night. Wow. I know I shouldn’t do this but I am young and I want to experiment. Surely I wouldn’t be able to do these kind of things when I grow even older. I would probably crave sleep like I want to hibernate.

So it’s early morning and I was wondering if I should use this opportunity to go out and walk in the park. I could do some jogging and help my belly that is getting obese. Maybe I could go out and get something to eat as well.

I didn’t think I would write such boring things after showing up 7 months later but don’t blame me, mate. I am a common man with a poor lifestyle. We’ve all been there and we’ve all done that. Most of our day consists of boring and mundane schedule. I just hope I will get back in that “zone” of writing and updating my blog from here on once again.

It’s good bye and.. Good morning for now.

Figment of imagination

Create a tree or a bee or a sea

Make a rainbow or anything else you want to see

Lovely things or dangerous beings

All up to you, you are free.

Do they exist or do they don’t?

Is it real or a figment of imagination?

You can make anything you want to make

That’s the beauty of our puzzling brain

As long as you remain curious

Nothing is going to bore you ever

You can have turns and twists

You can take so many risks

You can be kind or clever

You can sleep or dance forever

These can be good or bad

These can give you peace or drive you mad.

It’s the figment of imagination that makes it real

If it doesn’t exist in physical world, doesn’t mean it is unreal

Art is amazing and art is persuasive

Think things up and be creative

Top Tips to Keep Your Teeth Healthy and Hygienic

You wake up in the morning and just as you’re about to get ready, you open your mouth, and the reflection in the mirror horrifies you as you see your teeth looking as yellow as a dab of butter on pancakes. Then your alarm clock rings and you wake up in reality. However, such a nightmare can turn into reality if you don’t take care of your teeth on a regular basis.

What habits to practice for healthy teeth?

First things first, always make sure you brush your teeth at least twice a day. When you don’t brush often, bacteria build up on your tooth which leads to the formation of plaque. Tooth decay and gum disease are caused when the bacteria release acids.  It’s essential to brush at least twice a day, to avert the formation of plaque. Most people often ignore flossing. Only brushing the teeth is not enough. The remains of the food that you eat often get stuck between the teeth. Plenty of people think it doesn’t make a difference, but in the long run, it can have a severe negative impact on your teeth as the chances of cavity increases.

Avoid smoking. Smoking affects your breath, and even more importantly, it gives teeth a yellowish appearance if done over a long time.  Apart from dental hygiene, smoking affects other body organs, so that gives you many reasons to avoid it.

Never rush while brushing. Taking ample time to brush your teeth is not a crime. Also, rushing can cause an injury to your gum area which can lead to abscess formation. Brush your teeth gently, softly and take the time to do it.

Using mouthwash can whiten your teeth and as a result, it gives you fresh breath.

Reasons why dental care is important

If you maintain health and hygiene of your teeth, apart from you people around you will also be happy. Imagine you’re about to ask out the girl of your dreams and everything is going well until you open your mouth. Do you think anybody would find someone with bad breath or with ugly looking tooth attractive? The answer is no. In social gatherings, you ought to look well and presentable. Taking good care of dental hygiene is often not taken seriously by people that can cause a lot of trouble.

If you think about it deeply enough, dental care can save you tons of money. Ever heard the adage “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”?  Well, it is certainly true in this case. Curing dental problems cost a lot of money, and you’d be far better off if you decide to keep them healthy. Do not purchase cheap dental products.

How often should you visit the dentist?

Good dental care prevents a person to visit a dentist for as long as a year, but the general advice is to visit a dentist once in every three or four months.

What to do when you have nothing to do!

Well, it’s a break from college/school and we have nothing much to do. So what should we do?  Ah! Sitting at home all day watching YouTube videos is extremely mundane and boring. There is a need to shake things up a bit, something that will turn this monotonous routine into] an exciting one.

1- It is a great time to enjoy your hobbies: You will miss this time once the break is over so better start doing stuff you enjoy. Better late than never.

2- Go out with friends: Well, you must have some friends. Why not go out with them? Go to the mall or just do some fun activities in park. Time spent with friends is always fun.

3- Seek a new adventure: Even little things can make a lot of difference. Take a different route and just visit a new place where you haven’t been before. Surely, it’s fun but be careful as well. You do not want to get lost and never come back home, ha!

4- Expand your social media horizon: You have a lot of time to kill, so expand your social networks. Try different websites. Search something which you have never searched before. You might even learn a new skill.

5- Study: Well, yes it’s break but it doesn’t necessarily means that studying is not allowed. Study the subject which you actually love and which seems interesting to you. Perhaps, psychology is the one subject that appears interesting to almost everyone now a days.

6- Read novels: Again, some people might think it’s boring but actually, once you start reading them you’ll feel like there’s a movie going on inside your head. This feeling is highly addictive as well. Reading novels and connecting with characters provides an opportunity to live different lives and you learn many more things about life.

These are the things that you can do easily during the break from school/college. It is not costly at all so nearly everyone can do it. Good luck and enjoy the holidays.

Creativity and Intelligence

images (4)These are two different concepts. While traditional schools generally focus on measuring intelligence, creativity is as important as intelligence if not more.

Intelligence gives you a base to find out something or take the understanding of a concept to the next level. On the other hand, creativity is significant as well because having sufficient knowledge about a concept is not enough. Being creative leads to new discoveries and opens a new horizon to think about a concept at a deeper level.

Standardized tests that schools expect students to take measures intelligence. The examinations do not test the divergent thinking of a person.

Just think about it. We all learn to write, speak and listen. There are always people better than you no matter how great you become. So what is the difference between the students studying in Oxford University and a student studying in a different region but is more creative as compared to them? While, a native English speaker might have a much more enhanced vocabulary, it is still possible that a non-native English speaker use the English words more effectively as compared to the native speaker. It is all about how creative you can get with the strengths that you have. We can also conclude that it is really our choices that define who we are, not our abilities.

A student who has graduated with a degree in English might be more capable than someone who does not have a degree in this field but various circumstances in life can lead him/her to stay unfocused and s/he might never fulfill his/her potential while the one who just enjoys writing might come up with ideas that cannot be taught by anyone; which comes naturally.

Intelligence is significant in that sense that it measures your aptitude for a particular field. Aptitude refers to a natural ability in a field. However, there is a relationship between both these concepts. Intelligence serves the bases for creativity. You learn concepts, understand them and memorize them. Your ability to learn and comprehend the meaning of concepts makes you intelligent. Given a new situation including new problems requires creativity. You have to use your previous knowledge and apply to the newly arisen problem. With intelligence alone, you can give solutions to the similar problems but in the case of a completely new problem you have to use the previous understanding.

The best example of I can think of is recess. Gretchen Grundler is what we can call an intelligent girl and she is certainly creative as well but why is she creative if she’s intelligent? The reason is it doesn’t necessarily means being intelligent means you’re not creative. However, being creative does not mean you need to have a high IQ like Gretchen Grundler. Now, if we look at the other character, that is, T.J. Detweiler, who is the prankster of the gang is not even near to being superiorly intelligent but is highly creative. Pranks require creativity and he is a top-notch prankster. Despite being intelligently average, he earns all the points in creativity. Therefore, being intelligent does not mean that one is highly creative and similarly being highly creative does not necessarily means that one has high IQ.
