In a bubble

I live in my own bubble
Avoid all troubles
I just want to lay back, have no struggles
No rush, no hustle
In my own world, I make the rules
Grow a fruit and eat it too
Don’t want any orders
Maybe I have antisocial disorder

Have this hatred for authority
They take advantage of seniority
I thought I would change once I turned twenty
It keeps getting stronger, to hate them is my duty
I try to think differently
But it’s the way I am, it’s just me
Next morning I will wake up and decide to change
It’s plain old routine, it’s the fault of my brain

It’s a pattern I am stuck into
Thoughts just strike me out of the blue
I am unable to express them coherently
It’s a testimony of my limited ability
Realizing it is a sign of maturity
I tell myself this, to make myself feel happy

I live in my own bubble
Not asking for any trouble
My fate is a jigsaw puzzle
That I cannot seem to solve
I try to find myself but keep getting lost
Writing worthless lines to keep me entertained
‘Cause I know with it, there’s nothing to gain

Crushing The Dreams

Quickly became unpopular among the sheep
They said I was crushing their dreams
Just telling them the truth and it hurts
Harsh it may be, I say it out of love

Never think about the hard work
Just the result
That’s why they complain
When it’s too difficult

Honest criticism, a hard pill to swallow
They hide in their room, weep and wallow
Saving your time and being blunt is wrong
That wannabe singer sucks and so does his song

I am not a hater though, just a realist
Believe me, remarks are ever present, sometimes I get called pathetic
It’s a part and parcel of putting yourself out there
It’s people’s job to crucify you so you get scared

Crushing the dreams that can never be met
All a waste of time, best to forget
But I am the villain because I am mean
I thought they’d become adult once they were eighteen

Sheep never learns
Tell them the truth
Crush their dreams
Hear them scream

People will misunderstand if you disagree
Term you the “bad guy” for your honesty
Let them live in their own bubble
One day it’ll burst and they’ll be in trouble

Why do you write if no one reads?

Why do you write if no one reads? Few people have asked me this question.

So here I want to reason why it is such an important thing for me to keep writing.

It feels like I have pulled off a massive weight off my chest. My mind does crazy things and I have a tendency to over think. Writing always helps me to process my thoughts and be well connected with them. I do not do this to please others but myself.

Often some people do tell me that what I am saying is quite right but then they question why I do not always follow my own advice if I know so much. The simple answer is it is the first step to acknowledge the stuff that brings you down and knowing what you can do to change it but we humans have emotions as well. Only knowing and being aware is not enough. We need time to better ourselves as well. Life is like a rollercoaster ride. There are always ups and down and that is what most people actually fail to realize. We experience happiness, sadness, fear, love, rejection, dejection, loneliness, excitement, anxiety etc. and this is what makes it all wonderful yet terrifying at the same time. So, thinking that wisdom and intelligence are going to cover your every flaw is a misconception because human beings are flawed and they make mistakes even if they don’t want to.

Coming back to my original point of why I write even if no one is willing to read, I do it for fun, for the pure joy of it and that is rare stuff. Finding something which you can do just for the heck of it is the most satisfying and calm feeling that we can experience.

On an empty road

On an empty road at midnight
A boy walked alone wishing someone would say “Hi!”
Hug him and tell him not to cry
“I am here to be your friend, no worries and no good bye.”

Stay honest and loyal to him
He’ll be there for you when no one else will.
Deep down he knew he had a pure heart
Still people didn’t want to be with him and they torn him apart.

Suffering had become a norm to him
The pain was intense like he had recently hit the gym.
His future looked so dark and grim
He knew he had to hold on, keep going on and swim.

Then came a young beautiful lady, charming like a princess
He thought he had found his love, now he was fearless.
The only problem was that he had to let go of his shyness.
It was his trait so all his efforts went in vain.

The young lady did not return his love
He was left heart broken but knew he didn’t need her
Moving on was the only option left for him
But the pain was so intense
He found himself lingering on an empty road once again.

Last day of 2015

So, it was a wonderful  year. As always there were ups and downs and there were times when I felt completely shattered. I had to remind myself that these phases are bound to come in my way and that it is the journey that needs to be enjoyed and cherished. Lots of people come and go in life but you always have yourself in the end, you have the most amazing person in this world with you forever and that is you.

This was the year when I finished my high school and entered college with a reasonably good performance in examinations. This year I did a lot of different things and learned a lot about myself. Still have a long way to go but I am enjoying the ride.

I initiated different things and learned that it is important to remain in touch with friends, help each other, be with each other when the chips are down and completely stay loyal to each other no matter what. I have a fair share of mistakes I made this year but I am bound to make mistakes because I am just a human.

Hoping that next year will bring lots of happy moments and prosperity.

GEAR UP FOR 2016! Something amazing might happen.

ADIOS AMIGOS!

Creativity and Intelligence

images (4)These are two different concepts. While traditional schools generally focus on measuring intelligence, creativity is as important as intelligence if not more.

Intelligence gives you a base to find out something or take the understanding of a concept to the next level. On the other hand, creativity is significant as well because having sufficient knowledge about a concept is not enough. Being creative leads to new discoveries and opens a new horizon to think about a concept at a deeper level.

Standardized tests that schools expect students to take measures intelligence. The examinations do not test the divergent thinking of a person.

Just think about it. We all learn to write, speak and listen. There are always people better than you no matter how great you become. So what is the difference between the students studying in Oxford University and a student studying in a different region but is more creative as compared to them? While, a native English speaker might have a much more enhanced vocabulary, it is still possible that a non-native English speaker use the English words more effectively as compared to the native speaker. It is all about how creative you can get with the strengths that you have. We can also conclude that it is really our choices that define who we are, not our abilities.

A student who has graduated with a degree in English might be more capable than someone who does not have a degree in this field but various circumstances in life can lead him/her to stay unfocused and s/he might never fulfill his/her potential while the one who just enjoys writing might come up with ideas that cannot be taught by anyone; which comes naturally.

Intelligence is significant in that sense that it measures your aptitude for a particular field. Aptitude refers to a natural ability in a field. However, there is a relationship between both these concepts. Intelligence serves the bases for creativity. You learn concepts, understand them and memorize them. Your ability to learn and comprehend the meaning of concepts makes you intelligent. Given a new situation including new problems requires creativity. You have to use your previous knowledge and apply to the newly arisen problem. With intelligence alone, you can give solutions to the similar problems but in the case of a completely new problem you have to use the previous understanding.

The best example of I can think of is recess. Gretchen Grundler is what we can call an intelligent girl and she is certainly creative as well but why is she creative if she’s intelligent? The reason is it doesn’t necessarily means being intelligent means you’re not creative. However, being creative does not mean you need to have a high IQ like Gretchen Grundler. Now, if we look at the other character, that is, T.J. Detweiler, who is the prankster of the gang is not even near to being superiorly intelligent but is highly creative. Pranks require creativity and he is a top-notch prankster. Despite being intelligently average, he earns all the points in creativity. Therefore, being intelligent does not mean that one is highly creative and similarly being highly creative does not necessarily means that one has high IQ.

Broken promises..

Sometimes we fought.
Sometimes we cried.
But it was me, most of the time,
Who had to suffer on all those dreadful nights.

We made promises.
We’d never deal with irreparable damages.
We’d stand by each other in difficult times.
Now I see, all those were such laughable lies.

You were tired of my vociferous rants.
I thought you’d stay with me,but you can’t.
All your problems were mine when we met.
Every moment I spent with you are now full of regret.

I didn’t want to say all these things to you.
But, I need to speak up now before I bid adieu.
These words are coming out of the blue.
I am leaving you now to move ahead, to find someone new.

Whenever I look at you..

Whenever I look at you,

I feel like my guts are doing a somersault.

Whenever I look at you,

I feel like my heart starts to sing a super hit song.

Whenever I look at you,

I feel like I can see you through this dense fog.

Whenever I look at you,

I feel all my troubles are fading away.

Whenever I look at you,

My bad day turns into a good day.

Whenever I look at you,

All my dreams come true.

Whenever I look at you,

I become rigid like a statue.

Your love is divine and pure,

You’ve a heart of gold, I am sure.

The more I look at you,

The more I feel I should be closer to you.

Top 10 quotes from Harry Potter series!

downloadHarry Potter series is so diverse and full of details that it is highly difficult to jot down just 10 quotes from it. However, these 10 quotes were really powerful and are capable of sending a chill down your spine. While it contains some philosophy, there are few full of brutality.

1-“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” – Albus Dumbledore.

2-“I hope you’re pleased with yourselves. We could all have been killed-or worse, expelled.”- Hermione Granger.

3-“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”- Albus Dumbledore.

4-”Voldemort,” said Riddle softly, “is my past, present and future, Harry Potter…….”- Lord Voldemort/Dark Lord/Tom Marvolo Riddle.

5- “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”- Albus Dumbledore.

6- “Well, it’s just that you seem to be laboring under the delusion that I am going to- come quietly. I am afraid I am not going to come quietly at all, Cornelius. I have absolutely no intention of being sent to Azkaban. I could break out, of course- but what a waste of time, and frankly, I can think of a whole host of things I would rather be doing.”- Albus Dumbledore.

7-“I am going to kill you, Harry Potter. I’m going to destroy you. After tonight, no one will ever again question my powers.”- Lord Voldemort/Dark Lord/Tom Marvolo Riddle.

8-“Dark and difficult times lie ahead, Harry. Soon, we must all face the choice, between what is right and what is easy.”- Albus Dumbledore.

9-“Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, and above all those who live without love.”- Albus Dumbledore.

10-“Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who deserve it.”- Albus Dumbledore.

These were the 10 most powerful quotes from Harry Potter series. As you can see 7 of them came from Albus Dumbledore, 2 from the Dark Lord and only 1 from one of the member of the ‘Golden Trio,’ Hermione Granger.

Undoubtedly, Albus Dumbledore was the most philosophical and the greatest thinker in the entire series. Therefore, it is natural to have most of the quotes coming from him. His powerful words indeed left a great impact on his readers. On the other hand, there were moments in the series when the most feared Dark wizard of all times, Lord Voldemort came face to face with Harry, which makes two of his brutal quotes among the most impactful quotes from the entire series. To add some humor, little miss know-it all, Hermione Granger’s fear of getting expelled above anything else completes the list.
